Welcome to the new club website which will provide a focus for discussion and information for all members of the club.
These are exciting times for us at the moment as our first and second teams sit at their highest ever league positions and we continue to operate a thriving junior section.
The winter will see further developments within the club house as part of our general upgrade of the ground.
If you have any comments about the site or things you would like to put on the site then please email any of the contacts.
Here is to a strong finish to the season!

An Ode to "My Owd"
Taken away from the game he did love, I do hope they play cricket, in those skies above. A friend to us all, no bitterness inside, I've sat and wondered , I've prayed and cried. How can we lose, one so young, The life of Matthew, had just begun. He would wind you up, he would laugh at your jokes, He was every ones friend - just one of the blokes. He'd got time for us all, and made us all smile, I'll keep those memories, it makes my life worth while. I thought he was silly, some say he was just daft, But Matthew was clever and so full of craft. I'd like to remember him, with that cheeky grin, And that turn of phrase, "Hey-up my owd - where yo bin". If there's a God, then take care of our lad, Look at his averages, they ain't that bad. Goodnight Matthew I'll catch up with you soon, Please don't forget, your next match is starting at noon. RIP Matthew.
Matt Dear
May i take this opportunity to forward my sympathy and condolonces to Frank and Jenny, and everyone else who knew Matt. He was a very likable, lovable lad and i will surely miss him immensely. He always had a smile on his face and often had plenty to say with the best interests of Papplewick Cricket Club in his heart. I will always remember him and can picture him now greeting me in his usual manner, "Heyup Copo......Suck It In!" Godbless Matt and keep on lighting up the cricket scene upstairs and give my best to Mo Shaw. Untill we meet again Matt and say "Hello," i will sign off by saying that i have always enjoyed your friendship, cricketing escapades, jokes and laughter and leadership with the Sunday side. Your eternal friend, Copo "Suck it in"
